| The GLENN TADINA BAND has been playing the Portland Metro and Mid-Willamette Valley areas since the early fifties. Musicians in the band are from the Portland, Beaverton, Vancouver and Salem areas. Although SWING STREET GLENN TADINA BAND plays more for dance engagements, the band has performed concerts at state and county fairs, summer festival concerts, and theatre concerts. We play a good variety of dance music including, Foxtrot, Waltz, East and West Coast Swing, Rhumba, Tango, Cha-Cha, Bossa Nova, Tango, and others. We do some Rock and will even throw in a Polka or two on requests. Our playbook includes music of many of the Big Bands, such as Glenn Miller, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Ted Heath, and many others. My male vocalist likes to sing our special band arrangements for Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, and Nate "King" Cole. For our female vocalist, we have special arrangements of Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Diane Schurr, Linda Ronstadt, and Doris Day. | |||||||||
